    I calculated last week that...

Even if there was ZERO inflow to the reservoir...

A flow of 2000CFS would take 120 days to completely drain Folsom Lake.

Truth is, despite that we're in are our fourth year of drought and water resources are severely limited... DWR kept the AR flows so dismally low all winter and spring, that the current uptick to 2750 CFS does not really set us back much, if any, further than we were last year.

Talk on the street is an El Nino winter. Let's hope~

To further calculate, convert acre feet (roughly 480,000 currently) to cubic feet and cu. ft./second to cu ft/day

Add the average inflow to the lake capacity before deducting the fixed outflow (2750cfs) to get a number of days and your subsequent answer.

There will be a percentage error based on unknown variable of inflow (which changes daily) but you should be able to get close.

DAMN! That's more math than I've even THOUGHT about for a long, long while~

    Have fun

They need to keep the salt water from coming into the Delta pumps so they can still send fresh water south?

During a past drought they said our reservoirs were empty while SoCals were full?

    YO Bill~

That's true but in context... the SoCal reservoirs are significantly smaller than Folsom with the exception of San Luis if you count it...

And this year, ALL reservoirs are down.

Not much water has been going down south this year. I've been watching it like a hawk.

See graph and/or click on link below for the total CA reservoir water data.
