Anyone fished Dardanelles Lake in the last year? Am taking a Troop of Boy Scouts up to complete the fishing Merit Badge, and was wondering if there were any prognostications of success from any of y'all?

Mike: Sad to say that DFG has been killing fish (example, Silver Creek, Dardanelles, Meiss meadow, etc) in order to restock those fisheries with cutthroat trout which were native to the area many years ago. I don't know if they have started stocking Dardanelles yet. Killing healthy rainbows and brook trout makes absolutely no sense to me and many other fly fishers in So.Tahoe and Alpine County. Take the kids to Round Lake which had decent fishing in the past. Weather looks perfect for the camp trip. Best to you and the scouts.
the lakes up there are not covered as tribs of the upper Truckee, correct? they should be open for fishing?
Dardanelles is already locked in, hope there are a few left. We did Round Lake last year, and don't like to repeat.
You know what sucks? When people change plans...AGAIN.
As of now, it is looking like Pearl Lake north of Wright's Lake off 50.
IDK how a guy is supposed to prepare...
Anyhow, will let you know how (wherever we go) turns out.
