Awesome! I was guiding today and we had a 60lb GT make 4 passes at out feet. He looked at the fly, but no love. My client was using an 8wt with 12lb tippett. It would have lasted about 6 seconds. It is still a rush to see those monsters in 3 feet of water chasing bait. The seychelles would be a great place to guide. Mems.

On my list, but I have to deal with distance and cost. I had a couple really big GTs at Christmas Island last year, but this place seems to have an over abundance of them; not to mention all of the other fishing possibilities. Thanks Bill for the great video link.

I fished the Seychelles in 2000 and it was a terrific trip. The bonefishing was outstanding but for whatever reason the GTs were not around. Would love to go back again but it is a very pricey trip. Alphonse is now $8500 for a week and the outer island trips run from there up to $15K. We did a live aboard trip which isn't available anymore. It was much cheaper than Alphonse but the fishing around St. Josephs was plenty good except for the lack of GTs.

At this point there is no doubt that the best GT fishing (at least that has been discovered yet) is in the Seychelles but Indonesia is starting to be an option. But given the fact that you can do at least 3 trip to Christmas Island for the price of one trip to the Seychelles I think I will go there. Plus that would get me to Hawaii which is the last of the 50 for me.

Now if I win the lottery then I am going to back to the Seychelles!
