    Default Spring in Missoula, MT

Things are off to a great start already. With most local water running high and cloudy, its amazing how good fishing can still be found right in town. I have been fishing the "hollywood hole" everyday for about a week now and have been doing pretty well. Its also nice sharing water with another forum member, Guppy. Everyday more and more of the big bugs are popping off the water and a few fish are starting to take dries. Its only a matter of time and flows before some epic dry fly fishing starts up. I feel so fortunate to have great fishing 10 minutes from my apartment and a 5 minute walk from class. It looks like I will be in California for the heart of the skwala hatch but I know there's some great fishing down there to look forward to.
