Here's more of OregonSalmon (Galen Geller.) Unfortunately, he never got close to age 67.
His writings reminded me of Sheridan Anderson, Richard Brautigan, and the like.
I think all of them battled personal demons; but, were good to the bone people.

I have fished the Nehalem before for chinook, never been to the salmonberry. Looks like a gem, but you'd be crossing lots of good steelie streams if you are driving there from CA.
