Ive been pretty lucky so far this year. But ive also had those 10-12hr days of casting practice. Stick it out!
Yesterday was a tough day. Wind was blowing the right direction, fish were in, but it just seems too sunny.
We put in a solid 12hrs of actual fishing yesterday. My arm is a little sore. But thats ok for a day at wk...
SUn up to sun down we fished. Should of had some big fish to hand but it doesnt always play out the way you want it to. I landed 2, farmed 2 and broke 2 off.
Dont let those slow days make you lazy. Check your tippet, knots and bugs. Or lose fish
Here is my first fish I landed over 10. The one that sunk in that fever. I feel deep into the sickness.
Yes the river is fishing good. BUt ive got that feva!
Bruce, when you say "keep em wet", then why does the first video on your blog have somebody (you?) holding a fish out of the water?
I don't believe that holding a fish out of water for < 5 seconds changes their chances for survival.
Yes and many, in fact most, of my past pictures and videos show myself and friends holding fish out of the water, so I can't say that I haven't done that in the past or probably will do it again in the future and I'm not condemning people for holding their fish out of the water for a picture. There is a movement for people to take pictures of their fish while still in the water, even though I am for sure not perfect, I'm going to try to keep em wet more often.
I hadn't used that BlogSpot for a number of years, guess I should take that down.
