Default Fly Fishing Show - Pleasanton

Right around the corner, the Fly Fishing Show in Pleasanton is next week Feb 20, 21, 22 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Lot's of exhibitors will be there along with a a bundle of presentations.
I will be doing a presentation on Friday at 11am on Rooster on the Fly. I have included some video footage of a couple roosters chasing bait, just to show you how fast these fish move.
I will also be tying in the theater at 4pm on Friday. I will be tying with wig hair showing the basic bait fish pattern and also tying up a sea habit wig hair pattern. If time permits, I will also tie up a pink/white bill fish fly, if not I'll be at a tying table tying one up.
Some thing new this year or at least with me..... I'm bringing a big box of tying materials to sell that have been sitting around for a while. I have attached two photo's of a couple rooster necks that I will have. They are necks for tying bass bugs, streamer pattens for fresh and salt water patterns. I will also have in the box such items as strung marabou, ice wing material, full skeins of chenille, hooks, rabbit strips both cross cut and straight cut plus much more.

Hope to see you at the show.

    Jay

You made them a couple of years ago. I can't remember and no longer have one, the bass took them. It was black, about 4 or 5 inches long. I think you put something in the head of the fly to keep the head big. If you can't remember, just bring me a couple of your current favorite bass flies made from wig hair. I'll be there on Saturday. I'll see if I can find a picture.

5 should hold me over. Thanks. I could also use 4 rusty squirrels and 4 10-40 if you have them.

BB members---Please come-by my Truckee Guide NetWork booth at the Pleasanton Show next week-end (2/20-22/15) and introduce yourselves. I like to put names and faces together.

Me too Frank that is a great point. I will be there all weekend at the Reno Fly Fishing Outfitters booth. I would especially like to meet Bob G. since he does not have the decency to answer any of my PM's. He is one of the reasons that Terry Thomas is correct in asking everyone to use there full names on the board.

See you in a couple of days. Let's have dinner one night. My treat!
