    Cool video.

BUt you forgot to bow to show him respect (really give him a little line), and off he went.
Good job hooking up. I love steelhead!

Andy Guibord and Mark Kranhold have recently hooked nice winter run Steelhead swinging wet flies on their Spey rods.

In the past 50 years that I have been involved in the fishing on the lower American River I remember that February can be a top month for Steelhead on the Lower American River.

Just go out for an hour or so as much as you can right now.

**Andy Guibord can teach you how to find the right water and how to fly fish for them.

Well boys and girls...I'm OHFER...Zero for four on the American this year. Was out on Wednesday and saw very few fish....fewer than last week...was swinging with two others. Fish & Game came by in kayaks and asked zip codes and the time we started. Saw a fresh 8 pounder clear the water three times in ten seconds going straight up like a Trident missle about ten feet from by buddy Gordon...the same Gordon who was attacked by a Kamikaze steelie two weeks ago..I have decided to forgo the fly rod and follow him around with a long handled net...my buddy Vic had the only hook-up, which lasted a brief 15 seconds...he told me Andy went swimming the other day...proving even the experts bathe every once in a while...only 237 more casts to go and I reach a thousand!!! Oh yes...they will be mine...they will be mine...

Puttin' in your time for sure, O.mykiss! Awesome!

I think I'm kind of screwed with my once a week schedule.

Oh well it's what we live for!

I was just going to post something last this Bill. I went out w/ Andy last spring for a couple of hours & I hurt my back from hauling in those shad. I know, it's only the Poor Man's Tarpon, but I did learn a lot fishing of fishing on the AR with Andy & still want to thank him for the lesson I think I might need another one for the Stripers in the AR too.

I sincerely hope that drought ends for you and soon with a productive day, or several productive days where you land steelhead (plural).

Thank you ycflyfisher. The truth is I'm still very inexperienced with the two-handed swinging game. Drought or no drought the fish are certainly there, I'm just not skilled enough to swing one up...yet.
