    Default Spawning Rainbows

I went over to Putah Creek last week to try my hand at underwater video with my Gopro. Since we don't want to fish for the spawners, this is a nice alternative. Below is a link to a short video and some still shots. Enjoy.

I bet they were watching their step closely
    Or maybe with a raft?

I know that area. That water is about shin high and I have a video of about 30 fish using that entire area as a spawning bed. That's why I asked. They got cool shots but not fishing the spawners and stepping in the redds kinda defeats the purpose. Not accusing them of stepping on the redds just wondering.

In answer to a couple of questions, on the advice from a member of Putah Creek Trout, I crossed upstream beyond the warning tape and then came back down to the spawning bed along the bank. The extension pole came from Home Depot. It is called the Unger Pro and comes in various lengths. This is the 12 ft extension pole. I just put a gopro handlebar clamp on the end. You can get longer ones, but it gets difficult to hold the camera steady.

That was way cool thank you for sharing.

Glad you took the right route around, not the one accused of.

That's a good call on the go pro pole I might just have to get myself one of those
