Anybody ever rent a boat at Crowley? If so how was the experience?

jerry,
We've done it 4 or 5 times each summer for the past 10 years or so.
We prefer the flat bottom boats with the 30 HP; a more stable platform
for fly fishing; especially if there are 3 people. Save your receipts if
you plan return trips; as you get a discount, or even freebie after
so many - sorry, I can't remember the number.
Keep in mind that these are slow moving craft and even in calm water,
it'll take 25 - 30 minutes to get from the north end back to the Marina.
The wind picks up quickly and often on the lake. The guide boats take
10 minutes.
They do rent cabins at the lake now and , depending on your stay,
you'll get a certain credit for a boat rental.
Best,
Larry S
