    Default Swinging on the Moke

There are still a few nice fish around on the Moke. Did a quick float the other day and was a little surprised how well it fished. There was a good BWO hatch around 9am and the fish would eat a bug but after that they stopped looking at them. Thats when the fun started ….. for the rest of the day I did nothing but swing/strip Woolybuggers. Finished the day with 8 fish to the net (big fish went 17", had one really nice fish on briefly) and countless grabs. Had the river to myself and was off the water before it got hot, all in all good day.

Chris where did you float from/to? We bought a cabin in Arnold and I had scouted the Moke a little and it didn't look float friendly by hwy 49.

John I float the lower section below Camanche. You're right the section around 49 might be ok for kayaks but not driftboats. There is good fishing up there though.
