I was camping there two weeks ago and it was LOW. I didn't see anyone fishing although there were kayaks on the water. I can highly recommend the campground, especially mid week.

Fish along the face of the dam, along the east shore and also in the creek mouths. Trout flies (pt's, hares ears, damsels, and callibaetis) under a bobber are highly effective. Early am fish top water stuff such as poppers until the wind comes up. They also eat big dries such as Stimi's. Stripping leaches and streamers on a type 5 or 6 line works as well. This is a fun fishery and doesnt require a floating device at all as the fish are accessible from shore. Good luck!

Thanks Jay, I plan to kayak the whole lake this weekend. I heard rumor's of using trout flies under an indicator. Not sure I can do that, but will if I can't get them to bite on anything else.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Its not a rumor. Largest smallies (6+lbs) I have caught at Prosser have been on bhpt's hung under a bobber. If you want to catch fish I highly recommend this method

Scott, my best time to catch Bertha Bass on Prosser is in the Springtime.
She's bulking up to spawn.
Now I would go deeper due to warm surface temps....
If you have a fish finder.......that would help. Find structure.
My biggest crowded 8lbs.......
I use an 8wt in case.
Be on the water just before light for some surface action with troutskis.........

Ditto for Stampede. Hit the dam face.
