    Default Comeback

This is a little bug I tied up called the Comeback fly. You ever get the pluck or pull of a fish and no take, go back and swing through and nothing! I have found if you switch flies to something smaller and sparse and swing through the same zone you get the player!

J.Hull, Sally Hansen hard as nails. It's a women's nail finish, easy to use and cheaper than the rest.

This is what I heard years ago:

If you are coming down a run, swinging a fly for Steelhead and you get a pluck but no hook up, you stop, wade back upstream maybe 50 feet, light up a cigarette, put on a smaller fly that is a different color. Then come back down the run, cast, swing down, retrieve, take 4 to 5 steps down and cast again. When you get to the fish it should take you smaller, different looking fly.

That is a great looking fly!! Is it possible you can post the recipe. I think I have most of it, but not sure. Is the wing topping some krystal flash with black marabou? Schlappen for the hackle?

    Thanks Chris

Thanks Jeff! Hey Chris, yes the wing is marabou with midge Krystal flash and steelhead blue wing and flash combined together under the marabou. The body is blue flashabou with a pearl Mylar wrapped over it for durability with some segments of ostrich hurl schlapen for the collar and your good to go
