    Default American Steelhead Surprise

Caught this beauty yesterday despite all the rafts and swimmers. What a beautiful fish.

I guess some believe we have some steelhead in the river almost year round?

I think many "long" rivers like the Klamath, Trinity, Rogue and our valley rivers that have a fairly constant flow can have steelhead in all year......

Beauty! CDFW experimented with releasing summer-run steelies into the AR long ago, so some could be around. On the other hand, some steelies 'decide' to be trout with the water conditions we have today.

    Cool fish either way!

    Best,

Cool picture JMK. What did it bite? Are you tattoos any fishing related? Looks like some artistic ink there as well whatever it is.

    Very nice fish!
If you see a family struggling in a store or public place with their child's strange or disruptive behavior don't judge, the child could have autism, like my daughter.
