Default Circus is in town- a small stream report

Well given the scheduling challenges about once a year I am able to get my family (wife, daughter, son in law and dog) out on a river somewhere. I lovingly refer to this as the "Circus coming to town". This year I needed to do some scouting on one of our small streams so thats where the circus showed up. Fishing was good in the morning and then seemed to taper after lunch. By the end of the day we must have landed around 15 fish or so. All of the fish were in the 10"-14" range and VERY scrappy. Hot bugs were all kinds of caddis patterns. The water conditions on a couple of our valley small streams is really good. For those guys who like to do the "swing thing" these fish were crushing buggers!!!!!

There are some details and fun pics on my site for anyone interested.

Great report Chris. Thanks for the info. Love the Moke!
Quick question. What oars are you using in those pics?

Your Vizsla is one good looking dog.

I keep telling my wife I want to trade in the Dachshund for a Vizsla...great dog and it's
legs are longer than 5 inches.

Plus the dachshund and I don't get along. )
