He was the only guide I would let sit on a hole where I was catching fish. Gonna suck not to see him, hear him, and yell at him to get out of my hole. Bill was one hell of a nice guy.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I hadn't heard. Wow, what a loss to everyone he touched, and there are many.

Didn't get one tonight for Bill but I'll try again tomorrow evening. My friend Earl got 5 or 6 nymphing for SH and a nice halfpounder at the last run.

    WOW!

I hadn't realized Bill left us.

I'm truly sorry to hear this.

He fished, laughed, played, taught and cared about our fisheries with an unmatched passion and zeal.

Somewhat a trickster too as I recall.

Check out the following video for a great laugh:

Bill, may your soul carry on and on~

Caught one for Bill Lowe last night and a couple more. It's pretty slow on the A. with no large pods.

Got 7 this evening and 2 LDRs. Thought I found the bucket because it was hot for the first. 30 minutes then it went cold with only a few caught the rest of the evening. Talked to Andy who said sometimes if you get a couple of big hens it throws them off. I found that to be true unless there are a lot of fish in the river. Then it 's a fish on every cast or two.

I had 4 grabs and 1 really really big fish break me off. I have never had a shad run on me like this fish did last night, so I am thinking big steelhead. Super hard head shakes and strong run. I've caught big shad hens, but if this was a shad, I would put it over 8 pounds based on the pull alone.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

It was a steelie. My friend a Earl got a 30+ inch buck in that run last week. Shad will tug but they don't head shake!

Fished for 7 hours today. Hit 5 spots and only got 2 and 2 LDRs. Pretty slow!
