Hello folks! My name is Nathan and I have recently got into fly fishing. Yesterday I caught my first fish (4 inch bass) on a brown woolybugger with a Orvis Clearwater rod at a local pond and I am now hooked! I am wondering if anyone would like to go fishing sometime? I am located in Gold River, California and would love to make new fishing friends!

A great way to learn about this sport is to join a local fly fishing club. There are several in the region. California Fly Fishers Unlimited (www.cffu.org), Davis - called Fly Fishers of Davis (http://www.flyfishersofdavis.org/) and Granite Bay Flycasters Club (http://www.gbflycasters.org/) are the three closest to Sacramento. All will help you learn to fly fish including casting, tying, reading waters, and outings to fish with other members. They are a good value for the low cost of membership (avg $40/yr).
