PM you with some info.
Peter Piconi of SoCal Outfitters Fly Shop in San Diego, or Capt. Dave Trimble for Mako and Blue Sharks.
Mike,
Peter is very competent; his shop is in Liberty Station where the old Naval Training Center used to be.
Many areas in Mission Bay can be waded using clouser type flies and a floating line to keep it out
of the eel grass. Nearby Mission Beach can be productive in the surf; early mornings only as the
life guards will chase you out when the swimmers show up.

Larry S
I think ScottV here on the forum has some hands on experience there.
Thanks for the tips!
Mike
Mike,
Here's the link for a SoCal board. The San Diego posts mainly deal with San Diego Bay on the Coronado side.

I have family in the area and usually do some salt chucking when I am down there. If you have a personal water craft or access to a boat the area on the south side of the Coronado Bridge can be productive. If you feel like taking a drive north Los Alamitos Bay and Newport Harbor can produce as well.
good luck....have fun
Glorietta Bay Park is a great place to launch a float tube or kayak into San Diego bay for sea bass, halibut, bones if your lucky, corvina, all kinds of fun fish. It is right next to the Coronado hotel. http://www.sandiegocoastlife.com/att...ietta-bay.html
Check out fliflickers.com. Great group of guys in So-Cal that fish the San Diego all the time.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!
