Lower Sacramento Reports?
I'm heading up to Redding/Anderson tomorrow. Anyone fish the river lately? What flies are working. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have not fished it in a few days, but black bird's nest, rubber legs, yellow egg, black caddis pupa, hogans s&m should put fish in the net. Dry fly opportunities should exist for spring caddis which hopefully will be going on thick with the warm up. There will be a flotilla coming down from posse, but plenty of fish to be had.

Thanks dude02.
Glad I asked, I was going to tie on the green caddis pupae, guess they haven't started hatching yet.

Spent Friday march 14th on the lower Sac with my brother-in-law Paul. The morning started out a little cloudy but it cleared up by 10 and the temps got into the upper 70's with very little wind. The river is fishing very well. All the usual flies were working. rubber legs, amber prince, micro may and smaller black nymphs. Really heated up around noon. Saw march browns, black caddis, small mayflies(baetis?) a bald eagle and an osprey. I landed a few over 16 but lost the biggest ones, one broke me off.
