A good friend gave me his father's old Langley fly reel.

During my almost 50 years in the fishing tackle business I had never seen one.
This was a small company in San Diego, California, that made some of the best light weight bait casting reels in the 1950s.
This reel looks like it is almost new and is the size of a Pflueger Medalist 1495, which is my favorite size Medalist.
It is actually made a little better than my old Medalists with an adjustable click and pawl drag and round line guard.
It is set up permanently for right hand wind which is good for me.
I am going to put a new WF6F fly line on it and fish it on my old Fenwick FF856 fly rod for big trout and Half-pounders.
Hopefully this summer I will post a photo with a nice trout and this nice old fly reel.
