Default A Few Rooster Flies- Tan Series

Here are a few pics of some of the rooster flies I have been tying. These are mostly shades of tan with a few highlights of olive tossed in. Tails are arctic fox, yak, or long buck tail with some rootbeer crystal flash added. Bodies are combinations of buck tail and laser dub or all laser dub. (I wish the photos were better).

    Default Salty Flies....

Good looking flies. The bigger models look a lot like a Mullet. The almost head on profile looks cylindrical. Did you tie in the heads in the Jonny King style??

Darian and Jay, yes, the bigger ones are intended to be mullet. The ones with an all laser dub body are totally cylindrical and are tied using laser dub with the Jonny King V-tie technique. Even the ones with a bucktail body are ended with small clumps of laser dubbing tied in hi-tie style in the middle and folded back. All are finished with some diluted liquid fusion. Eyes are attached with goop and then LF coated. Next series will be dark brown, rusty brown, and olive.
