    Although a little short, CI love the 800S

    I've been using Gamakatsu SL11-3H for most of the clousers I use in the surf.
    I actually use that for most of the surf patterns in size #4-#8.
    Tacky hooks and never had one open up on me even with leopard sharks, bat rays, and the larger pullers of the local surf.
    Longer shank than a TMC equivalent.
    They make some super tacky jig hooks as well if you want to play with that. I've been having fun with their 90 degree hooks on a couple patterns.
