Another place you might consider for dinner is just north of Trinidad. Their website is here: http://www.larrupin.com/
We have enjoyed every meal we've had there, I highly recommend it.

Fun place with really good pub grub and awesome micro brews is Six Rivers Brewery in McKinleyville. Good spot for a cheap eats night. Pizza is awesome!

Hi Folks, I thought I would share with you an update on our 36 year Anniversary celebration trip to Trinidad. We had a wonderful time and not nearly enough of it to do and see all we wanted. The beauty in that area is spectacular and we did a good job of capturing a lot of it in our photos. My fishing time was very limited and my success in terms of catching fish was even more limited. Mike Kuczynski at the Eureka Fly shop was helpful with suggested places, flies and techniques but nothing seemed to work for me. Just getting out to explore these new areas however made my time fishing enjoyable.

Big Lagoon in particular was fascinating to see the sand spit at the north end and where the most recent breech had taken place. Mike talked about how the fish would “herd” the bait up into the narrow north end of the lagoon but they did not seem to be there for me. I had high hopes on the Klamath as the water looked real good. I believe I was fishing Glenn Riffle and did not have time to explore/fish Blake riffle. The Larrupin Cafι is where we had our anniversary dinner Tuesday night and the food and service was absolutely fabulous! Thanks again for all your suggestions. I definitely will keep them as a reference for future trips. Here are a few pictures I will share in two separate posts
