Default wood fly boxes featuring myrtlewood and granadillo

I picked up some beautiful Myrtlewood from the Oregon Coast this summer. Myrtle wood just screams steelhead and searun cutthroat Its a native tree of the Oregon coast and grows along the wild steelhead rivers. It is one of the most beautiful, workable, durable american hardwoods.
I have added another special touch to these few boxes. Beautiful, upgraded cork inserts! This particular cork is not like my regular inserts. It has a beautiful swirling burl veneer. It is denser and even more durable than my standard cork.
I want to give this forum first dibs on these boxes before they hit my website.

This box is 4x6" Myrtlewood. Classic steelhead fly engraving and upgraded cork. $90

Heres a look at the upgraded cork.

    4x6" Myrtlewood $80 **SOLD**

These next two are 3x5" Myrtlewood with upgraded cork. $65ea

I bought some Granadillo last spring. Some of the wood was so oily, the varnish just wouldnt cure. After a week, a month, 2 months, it was still sticky. I put em on a shelf and forgot about them. Well guess what? I grabbed one to try to figure out what to do with it and theyve dried! I am so happy because this Granadillo is insanely beautiful! So here they are!

This first one is 4x6" $85

These 3x5"s are twins. $65ea or $110 for the pair. **SOLD**

Folks, I've bought a couple of boxes from Jay. All went to special friends for retirement/events. Fall starts this weekend, so get your Xmas shopping done, at least a little bit. Question for Jay--how is that fly implanted in the first couple photos? Can you do other flies?

Thank you John The fly is just an engraving I did with my burning tool. I can engrave most anything you want. Heres a couple examples

I bought that last one and Jay put the stonefly on there for me. Trust me, Jay does top shelf, high quality, uniquely beautiful work.
