We sold them new at Sports Unlimited on Arden Way in Sacramento back in the 1960s.
They were heavy walled brown blanks, made by Fisher Rod Company in 2 piece with a spigot ferrule.
They had a cigar shaped cork grip with a Cal Air reel seat.
I think 8 weight and larger had a nice removable Cal Air fighting butt.
I think the rods came in an aluminum tube with a cloth dark blue cover and rod sock.
Those were nice rods that came in odd lengths. The 6 weight was 8'1".
They came with a matching size Hardy made click-n-pawl, rim drag fly reel designed by SA.
Late after they quit the program the reel was imported to the US as the Hardy Marquis fly reel series.
It was the first attempt to make a balanced outfit.
You got an SA reel, rod and fly line that were all matched up.
You could buy it all seperate too.
Top fly fisher Al Perryman liked the 9 weight rod for King Salmon.
My friend Neil Hansen had an 11 weight SA rod he used for Tarpon.
