    Default Stolen Gear

Sorry if this is the wrong section...

My Landcruiser was stolen earlier this week in San Francisco and I had a bunch of gear in it... I filed a report with the SFPD, so they are on the look out. The truck has dark tinted windows so I don't think it was taken for the gear, in any case, I thought I'd ask folks here to keep a look out for my stuff.

I know its a longshot, but if you happen to see anyone trying to sell this stuff I'd appreciate an email or call.

Sorry to hear...I'll keep an eye out. Losing the flies would be the worst for me.

Craigslist would be the place to keep and eye on, and also local pawn shops and such.

And sorry to hear this. During shad season I lost my shad fly box with about 40 flies. So I know it sucks but loosing more just adds to the feeling.

My daughter's car was stolen in SF last month...she did recover it and, although they took anything of value, the car was not trashed. Good luck.

Damn that sucks man! Really hope you get some of that stuff back... especially your first fly rod!!! I'll certainly keep my eyes open, and if I see any of those items for sale I'll let you know. Best of luck,

My first reaction after seeing the vehicle type was this (not promising):

    "On its way to Mexico."

If you know someone at border patrol, and can get the word out, you may get lucky. If it is a local theft, it will usually show up abandoned in a couple days sans plates, but its been more than that. Sorry to hear about the loss of gear. I got cleaned out once - had extra stuff in a locked trunk - now I bring only what I need and can carry with me. I will keep a look out for your stuff.

Really sorry about this Jason. I hope you get your Cruiser back. I will look all over as I have been in market for a newer used Landcruiser/LX 450 for a while. Take care and will fish again!

amoeba, yeah, that is kind of my worst fear. A few other Landcruisers taken around here eventually showed up. Best case, they took it for a joy ride and to steal the catalytic converters... that's my hope, anyway. I've been watching Craigslist/ebay, too.

Thanks to everyone for keeping your eyes peeled!
