Default Photo's from Las Arenas - Thursday

Here are a few photo's I was given yesterday. On the last day, we had some heavy East winds making the fishing and getting bait a little more difficult. But like I mentioned earlier there are some big dorado in the area, along with more green waters.

Renee with a nice "Dos Casas" Rooster

Ann with her first rooster for the day and even caught on a fly !

Ann with her second rooster of the day, Captain Ramon

Ann with her third rooster of the day at Punta Perico - very nice

Can't let go. Not bad 3 nice roosters in one day

Eric with a nice rooster....see they are still around

Darian & Efren with a Las MiNitas rooster

As you can see, lot's of bait

This is my last week and I hope that we can get into some large dorado that are swimming in the area. If we get some, I'll post some photo's.
Next season is starting to fill up fast. The dates were posted a few "posts" back

    Thumbs up Rooster Mania....

As Jay said, they're still there. At the island and la playa. Lots of bait. Several firsts on the fly were recorded. On the last day, bait moved and took more time for the bait guys to come up with. During the two hours they took to deliver, my partner and I fished for some bottom types and picked up some cabrilla, snapper and some good sized triggers (both types). Got rocked a couple of times. Fun stuff and made some great ceviche'. Same as it was last year, not many Dorado around. Those that were seemed to have lock jaw (accept for bait). Jay's wig hair flies were the ticket for Pez Gallo; olive/white, tan/white, 4' to 5" in length, 2/0, 3/0 hook size.

Some green water showing as we left. Not sure how this will impact fishing thru this summer/fall. Still, a great trip. Lots of good food, good company. Met some new folks and saw old friends. I'll be back (maybe for two weeks next year).

Those are some fat roosters, nicely done! I remember the bend even the 10 pounders put in my 12 wt. Those fish are so stinkin' strong it is ridiculous.

    Great shots!
