    Larry S,
Thanks for the heads up info. I guess I will have to leave my scare tactics at home. But if we find them starting them climbing the fish ladders it will be open season,no bag limit.

M-80's and cherry bombs used to be a seal deterrent. With all this PC bs, I'm not sure what you can use
nowadays. And my friends consider me a liberal! LOL. Seals are marine mammals and the "marine
mammal protection act" should be enforced in the ocean. When those predators are miles from the salt,
they need to be discouraged! After all, aren't steelhead and salmon on the "endangered species list?"
End of rant! Don't forget the "shad cam" competition.
    Best,

You can deter non ESA listed pinnipeds. Read this VERY carefully. Word for word. Check the list of appropriate conditions and the list of approved methods of detterence.

I saw what appeared to be cottonwood fluff blowing around in Corning on Friday! It means they're here somewhere, right???

Try the last 2 hours of light in June with small flies......

Cherrys are usually ripe during the Shad run too.

    Question Cottonwoods....

Blowing cottonwood fluff is what I always used as a guide to when Shad were in the rivers but with this last wind storm, I'm not sure there's anything left in the trees....
