    Default Who's ready?

You diehards might start to go looking for Shad in the Sac below the A after this next rain, no?

    Seems like an early spring...

Anchored in a boat at the mouth of the American River and the mouth of the Feather River can be good for American Shad in April/May.

    Stripers too......

I wish I could say I'm ready, but honestly I can say I'm very curious. Never fished for shad before, but hoping to change that this spring. I understand that you can swing for them in similar water types as steelhead? Any general suggestions for pattern types; size, color, profile, action, etc? Can't wait to give it a go this spring!

I caught mine on the swing all season last year.......... Well the time I was able to get out and fish for them. I think shad spoil you and when it dies off you feel like the world is upside down!

Bill dont forget the seals! Plenty of them rocking boats that leave fish tied on the side. I would say keep an eye out!
