Kayak the AR

Anyone interested in doing a Kayak trip down the American? I have a truck with a rack and can hold at least 3 yaks maybe 4 (two up top and two in the bed). I'd like to go during the week when there is not much pressure.

If it was on the weekend I would be down for a float. I can carry 2 kayaks on my car.

I would say that 95% of the lower American River is flat water with only two major short rapids.

San Juan Rapids and Arden Rapids.....

The raft rental people like a flow of around 2,000 to 3,000 fps for nice rafting that is neither too slow of too fast and dangerous.

We are very lucky to have this wonderful clear river in our town.
