    Thought some of you bird fanciers might appreciate seeing some pictures from a trip to the Amazon. From left to right: black collared hawk (1 & 2); black skimmer in flight (3 & 4); agouti.

    From left to right:
    Picture 1 comes with a story. This caiman was laying alongside a brushy area. The guy I was fishing with cast to the opposite side of the brush and hooked the bush. When he tried to extract his fly the bush shook and the caiman crawled through it and then tried to bite the fly. You can see the blue & white fly stuck in the bush.

    Quite a few caiman this trip, probably because the low water concentrated them. We came upn this big fellow sunning on a sand bar. As we got close he got up and ran into the water and then rushed the boat (we evidently got too close to his territory), (Photos 2 & 3)

    Pic 4 is a big caiman on the shore of a lagoon

    It would be so hard for me to concentrate on the fishing down there! Thanks for sharing these.

    Thanks Larry and Jay. Many people fish two people out of the john boats down there. I prefer to rotate and I only fish when in the front. When in the back seat I'm using my binoculars and camera. That's the best thing about going down there is all the other things to see besides the fishing. I love it.
