    Wink Steelhead leader update

Thanks for all of your help. I've been tying steelhead leaders using the traditional blood knot. About every third knot has been slipping. Not sure why (I don't have the blood knot tying tool), but I did an internet search and one person suggested using an Albright knot. Never heard of it before so I did a search on how to tie it. I have tied 4 leaders in the last 15 minutes using the Albright knot. For me the Albright knot is much easier to tie and it doesn't slip. I'm very happy with the results. Once again thanks for all your help.

Am I interpeting this correctly, you're using an Albright knot to join 2 sections of mono? Or are you talking about the fly line to leader (butt) knot? I like the Albright for the latter, but can't imagine using it for mono. If you're having trouble with blood knots in mono, try a double (or triple) Surgeon's Knot.
