    Default American Conditions

Just wondering if any of you could post water conditions (clarity) on the American for the upper section opener. I see the flows are starting to come down.

    Thanks and happy new year!

@ 2 1/2 to 3 feet. Not too bad. Some changes in the upper river. Stay safe!

Just gone done fishing ansel hoffman, landed a bright 8 pound wild buck, first fish on the american this year for me, I was starting to doubt they existed. He took this puppy about two seconds into the swing, gosh that tug never gets old!

Sweet looking fly, indeed. Bet it looks life-like in the current. You can tie for me anytime.

Be sure and pinch that barb if you don't want it to be the most expensive fly you'll ever fish! Or maybe you can have a barb in your stretch of the river? I'm not sure, so ignore my heads up if I'm in error. But I think anywhere below the Hazel bridge is barbless?
fly: Very light artificial fly fishing lure of which there are two types: the dry fly which isn't supposed to sink the way it just did; and the wet fly, which shouldn't be floating up on the surface like that. An Angler's Dictionary.

Thanks for the compliments fellas, i have too much time on my hands. Ron this is a double of the fly I used, I am always running barbless, less hook point diameter to drive that point home. Although that double hook would probably do the job if thats how I fished it!
