    Default Calevares River 12/29

Great day on the river, flows are low and the water is stained, still caught 4 and lost one. Rainbows, 6-10".

By the way I lost a fly box fishing below the quarry bridge, if anyone picks it up my name and # are on it 916 area code. I would be happy if it was return , but if you need it I hope you enjoy it! thanks.

I hope that your fly box becomes both found and returned, loosing a box is bummer.

No issue, I used a caddis with about 24" of tippet to a midge. Everything hit on the midge. no weight, no algae.

i've always found that river tough to fish. Happened to get there one morning though and watched a buddy pull in TWO hogs during a great bbeaits hatch. Of course I got nothing. At one point we just stopped going because the growth on the river was so bad, there was almost nowhere to fish. I'm sure it's been better these past 3 seasons.
