trinity monday

Fished the trinity on Monday and finally caught my first steelhead on my own. Caught one last year with a guide. Then proceeded to catch two more. Water at that time was maybe a tad higher then before thanksgiving but was pretty clear. Fished around the Douglas City area, saw lots of steelhead coming out of the water and still some dead salmon and dying salmon in the river. Seems that there are a lot of fish in the river this year and I guess this new round of rain should bring more. All were caught on a golden stone.

Fantastic. Nice fish, glad your persistence payed off for you. Hoping for the same myself... I'm 0-12 so far, maybe day 13 will be my lucky one? Can't wait to try again.

That, is a nice buck! I was up there three weeks ago for three days which happened to be the time that the fishing slowed down me and my buddy both came home with bagels. That photo makes me want to head up there for an overnighter!

thanks everyone, it was a pretty good day, saw another guy catch 2 in the morning and heard he had gotten 6 total, then a guy fishing above me had at least one and lost several, hopefully, the river will come around again quickly after this storm and bring in some more fish
