Smith level in the park went from 9' up to 21' over the last 24 hrs. It will drop and clear almost as fast;
well, not quite. Still, an amazing river!

I would call the Eureka Fly Shop for the north coast stream reports.

heading up tomorrow for a week, if anyone is up that way let me know!
ripping,
Hope the rains move some fresh fish in for you. This stream is amazing. I've fished it since the late 1960's.
Have seen it rise 10' or more over nite and drop to fishable conditions in 2-3 days. Remember - fish the edges.
Best,
Larry S
Hey Rippin,
You probably wont get this as you'll be out fishing no doubt, but I am heading up there myself on Sunday. Might bump into you, if you see a guy with two dogs watching my "spey" casting with amusement that would likely be me. Might be fun to share a beverage or two over some fish stories, or in my case, "one's that got away stories".
Cheers,
JB
Right on jason, the conditions will be perfect. Got the big grab today, tomorrow i shall land one!
