    Default New Website is Live

We launched a new version of our website Thursday evening. A couple things did not go right with the messageboard styles, but I will be working on this and should have it all resolved by the end of this weekend.

    Here's what we did:
    • Refreshed the overall design of the entire website
    • Updated the messageboard software so that it is more secure.
    • Removed a lot of the stale content from the old site.
    • Setup the site so that the staff at Kiene's can update it easier.
    • Created some new content (use the menu up top to view)
    • Added a blog (Blog)
    • Created an Events calendar for classes and events.
    • Put up our 360 google Virtual Tour of the store (About Us)
    • Published some of the Testimonials from various social media websites (About Us)
    • Created a new staff directory (About Us - Staff)
    • Build a form so that people can send Kiene's and email directly from the website (Contact Us)
    • Published bios of all our Instructors (Instruction - Instructors)
    • Added our travel services (Travel)
    • Made our resources easier to find (Resources - Articles, Fisheries, Guides).
    • Our Online Shop is more integrated with our website (Online Shop)
    • And finally put some sweet images on our homepage in a slide show.

Please give me your feedback, both good and bad. We want this website to be useful to all of our visitors and value your feedback. I'll discuss options with Bill and Aaron, and see what we can do to keep improving this website.

While I like the overall look, the header on each message is so large now that it is much harder to quickly scan through messages. Colors choices also make it harder to read on the main pages (there's a reason black on white is easiest to read for most people). Generally a nice effort, but I hope you are going to do some fine tuning.

I'd second that. Join date, Location, and number of posts a guy makes isn't why folks are reading the board and the font size should reflect that. For that matter, those text blocks could be placed horizontally rather than vertically to further tighten the header (but not TOO much!). Black type on dark blue (as my Mac sees it) is tough to read.

Thank you for this feedback! This is part of the stylesheet that I messed up on the migration that I am going to fix in the next couple days. I will tighten up all fo the text and menus on the messageboard so it looks much better.

I had this all dialed in, but when I exported the messageboard database from the old server, I imported over the top of all of the work that I did and it got blown away. I had to start from scratch again late last night.

Hang tight for a couple days and I'll get this fixed up.

Keep the comments coming please! I can't fix things if I don't know they are broken.

Just noticed some of the emote icons on the right are missing too, I'll have to dig those up. Gotta have our little fish icon.

One thing I have been unable to do is delete old posts. Is it possible to do this?
