    New SUP designs are amazingly stable and get you up where you can see fish better, as well as casting easier and further. They're essentially nanoskiffs. Some of the poly SUPs (like the Imagine Rapidfire, below) handle moderate whitewater rather well. Unless it's really cold out, I much prefer fishing while standing on a SUP to sitting down in a kayak or canoe. There's just no comparison.
