    Default Any American River Reports?

Not where you're fishing, but any reports of any fish being caught?

Just my 2 cents, not a lot of caddis activity yet for some reason as far as evening hatches anyways and haven't seen much working except smolts.
"Did you catch anything".........."No, did you"........

"Hey man, mind if I fish here?"....."Yes"...."Thanks man!"

Saturday night caught 4, biggest 14". It was nice to see they were all wild fish. The caddis were really coming off right at dark.

I was wondering where you've been, haven't seen you since June. Good to know you didn't go down.

    Default Half pounders

I had some good reports this last week of some really nice fish, but personally, I have yet to score a real half pounder other than one hooked while striper fishing.

Andy, you need to get Sugarshack in your boat and do a half pounder float. That will get the skunk off That man is a fish magnet!

Dave and I fished Ancil tonight and had the pleasure of Andy joining us. Had a great time, but no fish. We were swinging, started below the bike bridge and went down from there. Thanks Andy for great tips!

Fished the riffles at Rossmoor today (Sunday) from about 5:30 to 7:00. Landed two chunky, wild 10-12"'ers that fought hard like Yuba trout. Launched another little guy into outer space when I set the hook, and he may still be in orbit. Lots of tugs. Was swinging a Hare's Ear soft hackle with a Fox's Poopah trailer. Great stretch of water at these flows. Not a soul around. Saw a decent amount of caddis-driven surface activity.
