Default Looking for a 000 or 1 wt Rod

I know not that common but would like to find something under $150. Orvis package too $$$$. Doesn't St. Croix have a model at $100??? Looking for any advice from you Micro Dudes out there. Thanks!

    Default small stream rod

Aloha, you should try the new TFO 1/2 wt rod and reel. I used it in Montana on small creeks and had a blast. Great casting in small, tight spaces and made fighting smaller trout a blast. The reel matches well and is a click and pawl. This is a fun outift to fish with, Mems.

    Default Many thanks Don

But I cannot seem to locate it on the TFO website or any links to the combo or rod on Google. I will call them but maybe it's discontinued? Any more info as it looks pretty sweet. If you don't mind me asking how much did that set up run you? Thanks again Don for the info!

    Aloha,
    Ned

    Default TFO

Hey Ned, it is a new rod and reel combo. Call TFO, they should be able to send one to Bill's shop for you. The reel is $150 and I think the rod goes for the same. I put a one wt line on it and it was a lot of fun. It is very small when broken down and easy for hiking. I hope you like it, Don.

I started using a 2 wt. St. Croix 7'6" rod with a 2/3 Redington reel loaded with a 3 wt WF line to load the rod better this spring. What a kick to catch small trout with!
