Aaron Stiny and I both cast the new little beauty down at the river a month or so ago with our Redington Rep Jamie Lyle.

Well, we both bought one and they arrived yesterday.

They are basically a 10' 9" #3 line (-300 grains) Trout Spey rod.

We will be putting around 290 grain short Scandi heads on them for Half-pounder Steehead and trout locally in the Lower American, Lower Feather, and Lower Yuba Rivers plus up on the Klamath for small flies for Half-pounders in the AM before the wind comes up.

We would not recommend these tiny two handed rods for your first Spey rod unless you want to stay with only smaller flies for trout and Half-pounder steelhead.

This is a second or third rod for most two handed fly fishiers.

Pure fun........

We will both be using a loud obnoxious ratchet reel (click-n-pawl) on them so when we get a nice hot silver missle on there it will be obvious to all.

Fish for the grab....
