    Default High elevation fun

Wife and I decided to escape the valley heat and do a day-hike to a high-elevation lake along the 88 corridor. Cool and overcast when we reached the trailhead and spent a few minutes to acclimate. Daypacks loaded and off we went

    Almost there:

The other side of the ridge:

A short hike from the top to this beautiful lake:

    Lake-side:

Got on my favorite rock and rigged up:

    Made a few casts:

    Hooked up a few times:

    Almost landed:

    Beautiful cutt to hand:

    Spent some time hanging out:

    Steep hike back:

One last pic before heading down:

A few pics taken along the way:

A nice day to spend a summer day. We will be doing this more often.
