    Default Lower Owens - Bishop

Hello, does anyone know some good spots on the lower Owens outside Bishop or other rivers/creeks in the area? I am traveling there in a few weeks and looking for ideas. Thanks!

Usually it is pretty tuff fishing on the Lower O this time of year due to the heat and the High flows. The last 1hr of daylight can be good when the Caddis are hatching, which is now. Try the wild Trout section below Pleasant Valley Res. There is about 4 mi of C&R barbless only water that sees very little pressure this time of year. BobK

    Default lower owens

    might want to check out

    sierradrifters.com
    thetroutfly.com (the fishing report)

Both are reasonably good sources of info for many locations in the area. Both are suggesting that the lower owens is not the place to fish right now, but there are some other good places in area. The San Joaquin, the upper owens, and hot creek are three such places, if streams are what you want.

    Default Get High

It was 104F in Bishop last week. So put your boots on and head to the high country. Just spent 3 night above 10,000' in the John Muir Wilderness. We lost track of how many fish we caught. Brookies, browns, bows and goldens.
