Going to Montana

Aloha, headed to Montana on thursday to fish for two weeks before school starts back up and I need to be back in the classroom. We are headed to Hamilton and will fish the bitterroot and rock creek. I would like to go to the blackfoot and fish if we have the chance. I love fishing the little feeder creeks and the alpine lakes, so they are on the menu as well. Can't wait to fish my bamboo with dries and the little 1/2 wt TFO rod I have to test out. I will post pictures when we get back. This is Luke's graduation present. I asked him if he wanted a party, but he said no, he wanted to catch some trout!

Was just on the Blackfoot last week fishing was lights out. Big dries on top and big rubber legs nymphing pounded em.

If you get the urge to fish the North Fork Blackfoot, it is well worth the trip. Not like anyplace else in Montana that I've been to.

sounds like a great trip to me! Post a report when you get back if you can! I love that area, the whole bitteroot valley seems like a great place to live if you ask me.
