Fished the hex hatch on the lower fall last week and I knew I had to tie on a quigleys hex cripple in remembrance. What a great fly. Fish were all over it, had one of our best hex hatches (fishing wise) in years. Rest in Peace Mr. Quigley!

I picked up two nice browns at dusk on the Truckee near Tahoe City this weekend with a Quigley cripple. Great fly.
Sure is....... that's the beauty of it also, it can be tied in so many different types of mayfly. Also can be tied sparse (less hackle and marabou) to sit lower in film or really full (lots of hackle) to float a little higher.
