Default East and West Carson Rivers

I fished the East and West Carson Rivers today, I had better luck on the West than the East. Landed some of the Pilot Peak Cutty's in the East... I don't know about those Cutty's! I know they are the "Native" species for the area, but it seems like all the do is just shake and roll...

Yup the west has some fish to be found for sure.
I agree w/ you on the cutts mike. Those little rats just love a head shake. I wish they would focus more on the bigger alpers. But they are nice compared to the super tiny dfg stockers. I was in the area yesterday as well...pounding the brookies

    Default East Carson

Fished the east on Friday. Hiked down from the airport and was on the water from 10 am to 6 pm, downstream of the bridge and meadow. Was a brutal day, with less action than I've ever had out there. One 11" planter that had washed down, though my buddy got two 16 inch bows in the first half hour, then nothing. Seemed like they ignored anything smaller than a size 14. Good luck out there.

I thoroughly enjoy the section of the EC off HWY 4.
