    Default Williamson River Oregon Info?

Hey everyone. I've heard stories over the years about massive rainbows being caught in the Williamson river in Oregon. So I was thinking about heading out that way this summer possibly. Does anyone have any advice at all? Popular tactics? Put ins? Take outs? Shuttle services? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think July is a good month......

Go out very early and late with leeches.

I think 2x is a nice tippet size.

The williamson is best when the lake warms up usually in july. You need some kind of with a motor to fish the river below hwy 97. Theres a few acess spots on the upper river near the state park but usually it doesnt get good up there until later in the year.
