    Default Cottonwood fluff

Are the cottonwoods starting to spill fluff on the Valley floor yet?

    Cool Cottonwoods....

It's starting to blow around on Garden Highway near Discovery Park. Not sure about elsewhere....

Anytime now on the MFFR Ralph, but not yet. That river is a great carp fishery from Graeagle up to Portola. They are SO tough to catch on the surface.

    Hey Jon-
We were there yesterday. Checked out the MFF then hiked up to Rock and Wade. Got some altitude to see the eclipse. Be back soon!

    Ralph,

I'm tripping out - Christine was up there alone collecting bugs on the MFFR and watching the eclipse, I'm surprised you didn't bump into her. I was left alone to watch the dog and do the honey do's.

Cottonwoods aren't blooming up here yet, but the carp are taking dragonfly nymphs and baby crays pretty decent if you want to hit up the river. I'm hoping to get a lot more days down in NV for the rubberlips this year, either on the ponds or the river, you're welcome to join Ralph.

Over the past few days encountered lots of fluff on the Feather and the Y. Skimmed the little jet many miles over skinny water. No carp encountered on either river.

Had to subsist on third rate species such as squawfish, salmon, shad, smallmouth, and stripes. Bummer.
