    Default Steelhead Season

I fished a few different rivers this fall and winter. I did not catch a lot on any one of them but did land a fish at most of them. These pictures are from five rivers - Rogue, Feather, Klamath, Trinity and Chetco. Each fish is pretty typical of what I have found in these rivers. Some hatchery, some wild. Most on the indicator, one on the swing. All hopefully still alive and cruising somewhere in the ocean. That is my season.

    The Rogue In October

    The Feather In November

The Klamath the day the 49ers lost in January

    The Trinity in February

    The Chetco in March

Rad! Thanks for sharing. Haven't gotten out to any river other than the AR this season but managed about 5 nice adults on the swing and dozens of smaller juveniles that were for lack of a better term suicidal for my fly!

That Chetco fish is a perfect specimen. Nice chrome freshie.

Damn good year fer sure! I suggest daily beer drinking the rest of the
    year in celebration.

    Nice smattering of steel.

The Chetco fish is indeed a beauty...

Funny, when I saw the goofiest-looking, almost deformed fish... I knew it was going to be from the Trinity... Beautiful river that one but the strain is strained...
