    Default Squaw valley Creek?

I've heard there's a private stretch of this creek, (with a lake or pond), but i can't find any information about it. Anyone know anything. I might be up there in Mid May. Thanks Mike Borba

    Default Friday's????

If you're talking about the Squaw Valley Creek that is south of the town of McCloud and tht eventually flows in the lower McClcoud, , I think there is a RV ark right along the main road south of McCloud, heading towards the lake and A-Di-Nah , etc. I think it was called Friday's?? I think they had a pond, stretch of river and they used to have a little fly shop of sorts.

    Default You Heard It Right

    Mike,

Right at the entrance to Squaw Valley is a turn-off to the left that takes you to "The Inn at Squaw Creek". My god-daughter just got married there last fall and certainly is a beautiful place. A little on the fancy smancy side for me but it was still very nice.

On the grounds they have two (maybe three) carved out ponds that they stock with fish and you make a reservation to fish there from the hotel concierge's desk. I believe that you have to be escorted with a hotel guide and I just couldn't justify $$$$ for even an hour or two to dunk a line in a pay to fish pond.

I guess if you're not into skiing or golf and you had to be there, it would be something to do.

Mike you might consider fishing the truckee if the flows are right or the little truckee. You will be minutes from both.
